ANN ARBOR - Sweetheart Hair Cuts Month was a big success for zoey + joey, a local kid-focused hair studio who collected a portion of its sales for an entire month for charity.
The studio dedicated the month of February to the University of Michigan's C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. For the whole month of February, the salon set aside a small portion of proceeds from every haircut to donate to the hospital to support its Mobile Giving Library program.
The hospital's Mobile Giving Library delivers books to the hospitalized childrens' bedsides. The program is designed to promote reading as well as provide a sense of normalcy to the children. Unlike most libraries, however, the kids get to keep the books instead of returning them- no late fees at the Mobile Giving Library.
The charity drive proved to be quite successful.

zoey + joey Hair Studio is located in Ann Arbor at 3260 Washtenaw Avenue. The studio is fully green and uses only toxic-free product lines.
