While we were in Sparkle City for the craft fair my sister, PeeJay, took us to dinner at Melody Lodge. It is quite possibly my favorite place to go for a "fancy" dinner. The food is delicious, the service is great and the owners are friendly and gracious. This is post is going to be heavily laden with food pictures, so if you are hungry you might not want to read this yet... come back after your next meal!
We ordered Toasted Cheese (artisan bread with parmesan and roasted tomato basil relish) as an appetizer. It went so fast I didn't get a photo of the full plate... this is three forks vying for the last piece. Needless to say, it was awesome!
I ordered Chicken and Penne with artichoke, spinach, tomatoes and capers in a white wine sauce... delish!
My mom ordered Sesame Salmon a fried crusted salmon over greens with mandarin oranges.
This is the Mushroom Swiss Burger my sister ordered... it was huge and came with house fries.
Penne with Feta and Chicken was Kate's order. I had a taste and it was very, good!
All desserts at Melody are homemade, so you can't leave without having dessert.

Needless to say, we left stuffed and happy! But first we had to sit on the porch and let everything settle...
