... There's something about Revolution makeup ... I like it but it's kinda like the "Burger King" of the makeup world for me. Nice but not really the King of Burgers (in my mind). Plus, Revolution has so many products every second that it can be a bit nauseating to choose what to actually focus on, and being honest the products are not that impeccable or memorable. Regardless every now and then, something catches my eye and stirs me enough to make an order.
I bought Revolution Velvet lip crayons in TGIF & Vampire to get free shipping (I'm being truthful y'all) and to use as lip liners. Yes, they work nicely as standard lipsticks, but I mainly like that they're super easy to line my lips. They're soft, smooth, and blend nicely with other lip products but, of course, they also look great on their own.
Revolution Velvet lip crayons come with a slightly pointed tip but, over time it wears down but, there's a plastic-sharpener-thing at the bottom, which can help make the crayon pointy again. It's a bit of a hassle and messy, so I just stick with using the current flat rounded edges - meh.

In the above photo, I've shown how they look to line my lips + paired with Essence's colour up shine lipstick in 05 (now discontinued). I think the results speak for themselves - very easy and effective, exactly what I wanted and then some. Below I've applied Vampire to show how the crayons could look on their own - when I apply it lightly on my lips, and then build it's up - it's pretty, and so is TGIF but you get the gist of it (who need any more pictures right?).

End Thoughts: I'm actually very pleased with these crayons ... I just wish Revolution (as a whole) would calm down a bit and focus on making timeless really beautiful products that were more stylish and had a wow factor that would leave us all salivating for more. They obviously have a factory to do their bidding (and can make some nice products), so it would be great if they could make good use of it and create (not chuck out) really cult products. I think I have some great ideas but until I'm on the payroll - I'll keep them to myself. Revolution feel free to contact me if you'd like to collab.
